I like it much better than the standard traditional tremolos. The Wilkins trem, sure adds more beef to the sound, the incease in weight adds more bass, fatter mids and lets the higher frequencies dance over the bass and mids more evenly than the traditional Fender type tremolo.Another great feature is that you can adjust the height of the tremolo bar to your liking, just tighten the little allen wrench socket(in the rear)and you also can have the bar swinging or tighten to your taste.Just get some locking tuners and you'll be in heaven with out a lock nut.A must have for those of you who want a better trem...go get'it!

I had my wilkerson tremolo in a strat like Carvin electric, used 09's to 42 gauge ernie ball. For trem bends this pup barks, hit harmonics, bar vai, van halen bends stays in tune depending how lo you tune. think srv,

This babe's the biz. Even better than the modern 2-point trem on my US Strat. Nothing to add to the other reviewers' list of its benefits, but potential buyers should be aware that mods to the trem cavity on a Strat may be necessary in order to retro fit it. At least on my old (1990-ish) Strat body I had to route off a significant chunk from the front of the cavity to bring the VS100 close enough to the neck to make the scale length. Also, a small part of the treble side of the cavity needs filing to allow for the arm socket. Well worth it if you are up to it, though.

I bought a hand made guitar in Holland by DE GIER GITAARBOUW in Schiedam. In his guitars he put the Wilkinson trem. My first trem. It\'s realy smooth and stable. For me as a tremolo beginner it works if I have always played with one! The sound is sparkling with enough depth.

I only can give is a 10!

I've had a Wilkinson tremelo (VS-100G) on my Sadowsky strat since 1994. To me it is the best tremelo system out there bar none. I give it a 10 in all departments. Rob Heinink

I have Floyd Roses on all my Metal guitars, but when it came to my traditional Blues Strats, I started looking for something more reliable than the old Fender style tremolo.
Then one of my buddies got a Carvin guitar equiped with the Wilkinson trem, I liked it, it played smoothly added more bass, mids and great treble response.
Now all my traditional Strats have them with no hassle of unlocking at the nut to tune. Another great feature is that you can set the height and tension of the arm for different applications and comforts. All you need is locking tuners, a roller nut or graphite nut and you are set !!!!
