Installation instructions were good. Must use a digital tuner to dial in the proper position. Put mine on a USA Custom strat neck. Suggest using a drop of superglue to tack the top plate in position, you may need more adjustment distance than the slots provide; then dremel in a pilot hole for the screws. Or just use the glue technique. This nut makes an audible difference.

It is important to understand that compensation at the nut does not "correct" intonation, per se', like it does at the bridge. The bridge saddle adjustment simply makes the string the correct playing length, whereas the Earvana nut "corrects" the sharpness caused by either poor fingering technique, improper set-up adjustment, or both.
It is a wonderful nut and helps virtually anyone who tries it if it's installed by a competent repairman or Luthier. The slight downside is that intonation at the 12th fret suffers a bit, but since most of us don't chord up that far, it won't matter much. It is also a bit bulky and pointy, but can be shaped easily with a file.
It's worth a try!

I installed the Earvana Nut on an old Hondo checkerboard Deluxe 761 series. I couldnt get it to stay in tune before. Now the Hondo stays in tune PERFECTLY! I like it as much as my Feiten equipped Les Paul Elegant. Plus I dont need to buy a Feitenized tuner. I play most styles including rock, jazz, funk and country. The Earvana plays complex jazz chords precisely, and open chords are now a JOY!!! I installed it myself and it came out great. ORBIT FROM SPACE CITY!!
